In Bahá'í teachings God is, and always has been, the Creator.

Man was created through God's love: "Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee." The purpose of man's existence as taught by Bahá'u'lláh is to know and to worship God, and "to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization."

God has always watched over mankind. Throughout history, He has sent us blessed souls, perfect mirrors which manifest and reflect the glory and perfection of the heavenly kingdom. Each of these Messengers or Prophets renews the Word of God and lifts humanity to new heights of spiritual development. The laws and social teaching of each religion change depending on the time and place the Messenger appears.

Bahá'u'lláh taught that there is one God, Who progressively reveals His will to humanity. Each of the great religions brought by the Messengers of God - Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad -- represents a successive stage in the spiritual development of civilization.

Bahá'u'lláh, the most recent Messenger in this line, has brought teachings that address the moral and spiritual challenges of the modern world.

dscn1984That which the Lord hath ordained as the sovereign remedy and mightiest instrument for the healing of the world is the union of all its peoples in one universal Cause, one common Faith. This can in no wise be achieved except through the power of a skilled, an all-powerful and inspired Physician. ~ Bahá’u’lláh
